News and Updates

NZ is currently undergoing significant changes in our curriculum/ Te Mātaiaho. The new English (Y0-10), Mathematics (Y0-10) NZ curricula documents were released to the sector October 2025. These curricula came into effect from 1st January, 2026. There are further changes to come, with curricula for the other 6 learning areas in draft, with a current timeline to be implemented in 2027.

The earlier NZC (2007) is still in effect throughout 2026 for the other learning areas of Science, Social Studies, The Arts, Technology, Languages and Health and PE, and for English and Mathematics Year 11-13.
